Coaching Equal Results

Hiring a Life or Business Coach is one of the most powerful things that a person can do to move their life in the direction they want in a short period of time. I say this because for the many years that I have been Coaching I have seen people come to me in a place of frustration, confusion, anxiety or uncertainty about where they are and about the future and in a short period of time I have seen them change their lives around and they become happier and more fulfilled individuals.

So what is it that I do?

I work with people who want to make big changes or achievesome big results such as losing weight, getting into a relationship,or starting a business that are struggling to make it happen fast
enough. I help them create an action plan and to stay focused so that they make the changes or achieve the results that they want faster than ever before.I assist clients in finding out what their true desires are, what makes
them tick, what they feel passionate about and what it is that they want most in their lives, and I set out a set of guidelines for them to get the results that they want. So when you hire a Coach what you are looking for is a result.

DON’T LET FEAR STOP YOU

Most people do not get what they want because they let their fears get in the way. They are afraid of getting it wrong or making a mistake, looking silly, being rejected, being hurt, wasting their time, and feeling
uncomfortable.

Fear does not exist in the present moment; fear lives in the future and is created by imagining catastrophic consequences that have yet to happen. We create fear ourselves so it is self-created. It is all in the mind. In fact, you can actually scare yourself by imagining negative and harmful images. By simply stopping these catastrophic thoughts and images, the fear goes away. If you are afraid of something then you will
back off or run away from it and if you are excited about something then you will go towards it. The feeling of fear in the body is similar to the feeling of excitement, what determines the difference is our thoughts in relation to the situation. Fear, like everything else has a place in our lives. There are times when it is appropriate to feel fear. If you are being physically threatened, chased by an angry crowd, or are taking on a dangerous challenge, in these situations fear can keep you safe. It will keep you on alert and release powerful chemicals in your body and produce the energy you need to protect yourself, this is the fight or flight syndrome.

One of the biggest fears that people have and stops them from asking for guidance, advice, money, a date, a job, the sale, the promotion, support or anything else is the fear of rejection. In fact, the fear can be so great that it’s been known to literally paralyse people. They can become tongue-tied and refuse to answer the phone or get up and walk across the room. They break out in a sweat at the mere thought of asking for what they want.

Do we really get rejected in life? Does rejection really exist? I would like you to think about it for a moment. If you asked someone to go to the cinema with you, and they said no, you could tell yourself that you had been rejected. Just think about it though. Did you have anyone to go to the cinema with before you asked him or her? No! Did you have anyone to go with after you asked him or her? No! Did your life really get worse? No. It stayed the same! Again, rejection is in the mind, it is what we tell ourselves about the situation. A book that I would recommend is Susan Jeffers book ‘Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway’. In the book she offers a
step by step guide to help deal with fear and the critical self talk that can hold us back from achieving in life.
